100 Mile Track Time Trial Attempt recap
Saturday the 20th of June saw RideClean Powered by PatentIt.com cycling team member Dan McGehee give it his all at the L. A. Velodrome in what can only be described as a singularly inspiring piece of sport. After months of training and preparation the 15 year old record was within his grasp. However the miles and the track took their toll and Dan finished an incredible 8 seconds shy of the World Record of 3:47:26. Eight seconds represents less than .06% of the total time set by Rod Evans in Australia in 1994. Far from being discouraged and with an emphasis on elevating the process over the end result, Dan has set about planning his next event and knows that with the experience gained he will be able to achieve his goal. Our collective hats are off.
