Privacy policy
Last updated 24 September 2026. This policy explains what RideClean collects when you use the website, WhatsApp booking, or the customer account.
1. Who we are
RideClean is a mobile car wash and detailing team in Kampala. Contact: Call or WhatsApp , info@rideclean.net.
2. What we collect
- Name, phone number, and optional email and area.
- Vehicle make, model, body type, plate (if you add it), and photos you upload.
- Booking details: package, add-ons, date, time, landmark, notes, map pin (latitude and longitude).
- Payment method and cash/paid status. We do not store card numbers.
- If you allow notifications: a web-push subscription on your device.
- If you are staff: van location pings while a job is active.
- Technical logs such as IP address and browser type, used to run and protect the site.
3. Why we use it
To take and run bookings, price the visit, send the van to your pin, tell you when a job is picked, started, or finished, produce a receipt, improve the site, and meet legal duties. WhatsApp bookings share the details you type into that form with our business number so we can confirm the job.
4. Sharing
We share what the on-site team needs to do the job. We do not sell your list. We may use hosting, maps, and push services that process data on our instruction. We may disclose information if Ugandan law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Bookings, receipts, and garage cars stay while your account is open and as long as we need them for records. Dismissed alerts are hidden from you but may remain for a short period in our database. Push subscriptions are deleted if the browser unsubscribes or the endpoint dies. You can ask us to close an account by calling or WhatsApp.
6. Your choices
You can edit profile and garage from My account, dismiss alerts, turn off browser notifications, and cancel a scheduled visit. Location for customers is the pin you set; we do not continuously track your phone.
7. Children
This service is for adults booking a vehicle wash. Do not create an account for a child.
8. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the current version.
